Matt Damon Crashes ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Using the Oldest Trick in the Book

Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon have had a pretty hilarious feud for years now. But things got even crazier when Damon crashed his show recently.

Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel have had a long-standing "feud." It all originated back in 2005, when Kimmel ended a show by saying, "Apologies to Matt Damon, but we ran out of time."

And ever since then, they've had hilarious on-screen spats and wars of words. But nothing like this.

Matt Damon took a leaf out of Homer's (the Greek, not the Simpson) book during a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. According to Entertainment Weekly, it was all a pretty funny stunt for the new Odyssey movie, which he's starring in.

While Jimmy Kimmel was talking about his long-awaited vacation from the show, a mysterious horse was wheeled in. A UPS deliveryman even showed up as a whinny came from the background, prompting Kimmel to sign for it.

But it didn't come without any verbal quips. "I didn't order this horse..." he lamented. "I don't know what it's doing here, we're doing the show right now." Guillermo Rodriguez ended up sauntering in to claim the horse.

But that's when Matt Damon pulled his inner Odysseus in some pretty serious method acting. Just like how the Aeneid recounted it, he jumped out of the Trojan horse and started fighting Kimmel.

It wasn't with swords, or with weapons at all, at first — it was with words. "The horse is here and there's no kickbacks, b****! I did it, I am here, baby," Damon said resoundingly.

Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel Started Trading Blows

Of course, their longstanding fights had to be honored by this appearance. So they started insulting each other.

"I have traveled far and wide through waves and war to save this audience from mediocrity." Kimmel hilariously asked how long Damon had been in there - his response? "Did the Knicks win?"

And then they got talking about movies. Matt Damon, who is slated to play Odysseus, the quick-thinking, cunning commander of the Greeks, took an appropriate jab at Kimmel. "It's called The Odyssey, it's based on a book, so you probably don't know about it."

Kimmel himself also threw some shade straight back at him. "Did you do this movie specifically so you could sneak into this room in a Trojan horse? That is the saddest thing I've ever heard. What a loser you are!" he exclaimed.

The whole altercation ended up in a pretty hilarious fight scene when they both started hitting each other with pool noodles. Who won that fight is anyone's guess.
