Elena Katherine Moore, 39, was last seen on June 11 after departing Planet Fitness in Lexington.

Authorities say they are actively investigating her disappearance, though they do not currently suspect foul play.

Personal Trainer Missing After Leaving Gym

According to police, Moore was reported missing on June 12, one day after she was last seen.

Investigators say she signed into Planet Fitness at approximately 6:40 p.m. local time before leaving the facility later that evening.

"Ms. Moore was last seen walking away from Planet Fitness, at 560 Whiteford Way, toward a wooded area behind Lowe's Home Improvement Store," a Lexington Police Department statement reads.

"She was wearing an olive-green zip-up hoodie with black athletic pants. Officers deployed and circulate a drone in that region with negative results, along with a preliminary check of the woods."

Authorities have since conducted multiple searches of the surrounding area.

The police department said a "detailed search" of the wooded area was carried out on June 15. Investigators found no sign of Moore.

Officials emphasized that the search was not a recovery operation but rather an effort to eliminate a potential location from the investigation.

The operation ultimately produced "no trace of Ms. Moore," according to police.

Investigators Continue Seeking Leads

Lexington Police Department Inspector Missy Silcox described Moore's disappearance as highly unusual.

Silcox said Moore's husband was the person who reported her missing. She noted that investigators currently have no evidence suggesting she is in immediate danger.

Police believe Moore had a cellphone with her when she disappeared, but investigators have not been able to track its location.

Members of the public are being urged to come forward with any information that could help move the case forward.

"We're just hoping tips come in," Silcox told ABC News. "Even the smallest tip could be the biggest thing for us to crack open this case."

Authorities have also corrected reports that Moore was seen at a nearby CVS after leaving the gym, stating that information was inaccurate.

Investigators added that there is "no known vehicle in her possession" as they continue working to determine where she may have gone.

The search remains ongoing.
