Sisters Accused of Attacking Restaurant Worker With Hot Oil Over Wrong Order

You could not think that working in a restaurant is a dangerous job. But customers can sometimes get disproportionately angry at the smallest, most inadvertent errors. That might have been the case when a pair of sisters were apparently infuriated when a restaurant worker in Detroit mistakenly gave them the wrong order. They allegedly stabbed the worker and flung hot grease at the person, among other reported actions, per ClickonDetroit.

The incident supposedly occurred on Saturday, May 30, "just after 6 p.m." Metro Detroit News reported that the employee was a 23-year-old female. The alleged assailants were Brianna Long, 29 and Kierianna Long, 26. (Brianna Long was reportedly nine months pregnant at the time of the alleged incident. She had a baby four days prior to her arraignment, per ClickonDetroit.) The alleged assault reportedly took place "at a chicken restaurant on East Warren near Cadieux in Detroit."

The Scene Allegedly Became a Wild Melee

According to the Metro Detroit News, the Longs "are charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and felonious assault." They both have pleaded not guilty.

Per the outlet, the Longs reportedly entered the restaurant and physically went after this employee. They allegedly threw items at her, pursued her while inside the establishment, "hit her with pots and pans, threatened to kill her and tried to throw hot grease on her head." Per ClickonDetroit, one sister also allegedly declared to the employee, "I'm going to kill you." According to the outlet, prosecutors stated that the employee was stabbed in the stomach with a knife that was flung by the employee at the Longs, requiring surgery.

She reportedly managed to get outside to someone's vehicle and from there, called for assistance.

Defense Attorneys Paint a Different Picture of Events

Defense attorneys in the case portray the sequence of events quite differently. Per the outlet, they claim that the employee tossed things at the sisters first, including knives. Furthermore, according to ClickonDetroit, the employee allegedly said to the Longs that she did not "give a f--k" about the supposed mistake with their order.
