Talk about being together in sickness and in health. Tiffany and Tim McPherson are lucky to be alive. Their TNT Tacos food truck took the name literally and exploded on June 4 in Atwood. It was the day before the couple's 25th anniversary, according to a GoFundMe.

Sadly, the Tennessee couple had been inside the taco truck getting ready to work for the day.

"From the force of the explosion, I was blown back against the far wall where our sinks are, and I was trapped," Tiffany recalled. "[Tim] was blown toward the door [and he] could've easily ran out but chose to come back and get me and drag me out."

Tim refused to leave his wife behind and managed to get them both out of the exploded taco truck. The couple suffered both second and third-degree burns related to the taco truck explosion.

"It is truly a miracle and [a] blessing they're both alive," their daughter wrote. "They're both alert, breathing and talking ... They will more than likely be in the hospital for a few months. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers."

In the hospital, the two looked like survivors. Tiffany was wrapped with bandages around her head and arm. Meanwhile, Tim suffered burns to his hands.

The GoFundMe read, "Happy Anniversary, they're celebrating 25 years with hospital food. Mom had surgery today and is doing well. Dad's surgery got pushed to Sunday but he's staying strong. Many more surgery's to come."

In the latest update, Tim was discharged but refused to leave his wife at the hospital. He is staying with her by her side.

Their daughter explained, "I went and saw mom and dad today in the hospital. They are both in excruciating pain. Dad has been discharged, but he's getting reevaluated on Thursday for his burns. He plans on sticking by Mom's side in the hospital till she gets discharged. We are waiting to see if Mom's graphs take to see if she needs another surgery. They evaluated her left arm, and she may need more graphs."
