Doctors apparently declared her pregnancy nonviable weeksa ago. Taking to social media under ashley_livinginchaos, South Carolina woman Ashley Brown revealed it's the sixth miscarriage she's suffered.

At her recent scan, blood tests as well as ultrasound showed the pregnancy wasn't taking hold. Despite this, Brown says that she's not allowed to have miscarriage care. First, she must go to two follow-up appointments as well as counseling. Only then can doctors remove the dead tissue.

"I understand why they have these standards in place, [as] it is so common for someone to not be as far along as they think and see a viable pregnancy the next ultrasound, however, in this case it is an impossibility," she wrote in the video's caption.

"It feels cruel to feel pregnant and awful for 3 more weeks when there's no baby," she continued, adding, "We are heartbroken over this loss and miscarriage care shouldn't be like this."

South Carolina Woman Speaks Out

In a follow-up video, the South Carolina woman says that medical staff have to confirm multiple times the baby is deceased.

"My baby died in me almost two weeks ago, but we have to make sure it's really dead two more times before they'll help me remove it because my body's not doing that by itself," she said in the video.

It's been an emotionally taxing and traumatizing experience for Brown. She said that she fears for her own life as well due to being "forced to carry dead cells." The South Carolina woman claims there's a risk of "going septic."

"Somewhere in between pissed off, traumatized, grieving, and coping with dark humor. This is all so wrong," she wrote in the video's caption.

Right now, she said she's looking to go out of the state to speed up the procedure. It's all related to South Carolina's abortion laws.

"I'm in a gray area where technically I'm over 6 weeks but it's not viable and there is no heartbeat," she wrote.
