Plenty of championship-winning teams have visited the White House since President Donald Trump took office last year. But the 2025 WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, won't be getting an invite.

As reported by PEOPLE, a spokesperson for the women's basketball team said they were not invited to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue after winning a title last October.
President Trump Has Never Hosted a Championship WNBA Team During His Tenure
But to be fair, President Trump hasn't invited any NBA or WNBA championship-winning team during his time in office.
The Las Vegas Aces swept the Phoenix Mercury in 2025. But when the team won its last championship in 2022, it visited then-Vice President Kamala Harris. Former President Joe Biden was on vacation when the team arrived at the White House.
Former President Biden also did not acknowledge the Aces when he congratulated the NHL's Las Vegas Golden Knights on their 2023 championship. He said the hockey team's victory was "the first major professional franchise in such a proud American city."
Star A'ja Wilson called out former President Biden on social media. She wrote, "Twitter not letting me quote tweet potus tweet but ...BFFR." The abbreviation commonly stands for "be f*****g for real."
She added, "When is our White House visit cause..."
The Seattle Storm did visit former President Biden in 2021. But before that, no NBA or WNBA teams have visited the President since former President Barack Obama hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
It's Not Clear What Teams Get an Invitation
Given the inconsistency on the matter, it's not clear what parameters have to be met for a president to extend an invitation to a championship team. Looks like it just depends on everyone's schedule.
Rather than wait for President Trump's invitation, the Las Vegas Aces considered celebrating their championship by visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture. However, scheduling conflicts have pushed that trip until next month. That is when the Aces will take on the Washington Mystics.
