Kyle Vasey, 30, suffered multiple injuries, including four broken ribs and three fractures in his spine, after being struck by a vehicle on Monday, June 8.

Vasey's fiancée, Corinne More, 35, was killed in the collision, as was 72-year-old Dianne Windes.
Football Player Hospitalized Following Alleged Intentional Hit-and-Run
According to reports, Vasey and More were walking through their neighborhood when Adam Bauserman, 28, allegedly drove into them and Windes.
CBS News reported that Bauserman was operating the vehicle with a suspended license related to a prior DUI offense.
Witnesses claim the suspect made a U-turn after the collision. He then slowly drove back toward the scene to observe the aftermath.
Authorities allege he then fled, leaving the victims injured in the roadway.
Several witnesses reportedly followed Bauserman for more than five miles to Daniels Park, where police ultimately located and arrested him.
Family Launches Fundraiser as Recovery Continues
According to reports, a doctor stated in an affidavit that Vasey is at "substantial risk for permanent disfigurement or death".
In the wake of the tragedy, Vasey's parents, Bruce and Shelley, launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his growing medical expenses.
"Kyle was the victim of a terrible accident while out walking with his fiancée," the description reads. "A pickup truck negligently drove off the road and ran them down, going approximately 45 mph."
The fundraiser states that Vasey suffered extensive injuries throughout his body. His left arm was the only limb that escaped injury.
He remains on a ventilator and is being kept sedated to help manage the pain.
"Thankfully, there was no major head trauma, and everyone is optimistic about his physical recovery," the description adds. "However, it is expected to be a long road of recovery. His beautiful fiancée did not survive."
"At this time, we are asking for your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery of his body, heart, and mind."
The fundraiser has already raised more than $44,000 toward its $70,000 goal, including several donations of $1,000.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Bauserman faces seven felony charges and one misdemeanor, including vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal crash. His bond is set at $100,000.
