Jeff Foxworthy is described on his web site as "one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country." His resume is incredibly diverse. At 67, Foxworthy has written more than two dozen books, been nominated for Grammy Awards, created games, is in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and has been the voice of characters in animated movies. He is obviously a very busy and multi-talented dude. However, one facet of Jeff Foxworthy's career seems to be ending. Per USA Today, the zany funnyman's newest stand-up yukfest, The Joke's on Me (Fox Nation), is evidently going to be his final comedy special.

Foxworthy Explained Why He Is Choosing To Bow Out of the Comedy Specials
The Atlanta, Georgia, native told the outlet why he's quitting the comedy special gigs. He really just needs to give himself a well-deserved break. Foxworthy shared, "As I'm preparing for the special, I knew I wanted to talk about being a granddad because I always talk about my life and my grandson did something that just lent itself to a redneck joke."
He continued, "I did my first comedy special in 1990, and I closed it with redneck jokes. This is probably the last one I'm ever going to do, because it's just a lot of work. And I thought, 'Well, if I closed my first one with it, this is 12 [specials] later, might be cool to just tie the knot and bring it full circle.'"
He's Not Planning To Be Bored
He won't be idle. The beloved comic still has plenty of his plate, personally and professionally. Jeff Foxworthy, per the outlet, is "currently workshopping both a book and a movie script." And he is "enjoying this season of life," as he states in the new special, by taking some restorative downtime. He and his wife, Pamela, have a farm in Georgia. The longtime couple, married since 1985, have two beloved daughters and two grandchildren as well.
What Is the Secret to His Long, Happy Marriage?
The Foxworthys sound like real soulmates. He mentioned to the outlet, "We go to bed talking to each other, we wake up talking to each other. I've got a job that takes me on the road to a different city every night and I still miss her every day."
