You don't give up on your family, even if you only played brothers on television. That's the message Will Friedle has for his television sibling, and Boy Meets World co-star, Ben Savage.

As Page Six reported, Savage, who played Cory Matthews on the hit ABC sitcom, has ghosted Friedle, who starred as Cory's brother Eric, and the rest of the cast for several years.
Friedle Still Has the Urge to Call His "Boy Meets World" Co-Star
Boy Meets World, which aired for seven seasons, ended in 2000. In the years since, Savage became a father. Starting in 2022, Friedle, Danielle Fishel, and Rider Strong began hosting the rewatch podcast Pod Meets World.
While Savage was initially approached to join his co-stars on the podcast, he decided that it wasn't for him. He has not spoken with his former co-stars since. Friedle has said he still has the urge "to pick up the phone" and give Savage a call.
"I know I'm shouting into the void, but I'm going to keep doing it. I haven't given up on my friend," said Friedle. "I'm hoping that he comes back into our lives at some point, and when he does, we're going to have a lot to talk about."
Fishel, who played Topanga on Boy Meets World, shared Friedle's sentiment, but has reached "a place of immense understanding and grace" regarding Savage's absence.
"Not everybody wants to talk about uncomfortable truths," she said. "The three of us said it was something that we did want to do. Although we were nervous, it was a journey we were willing and excited to go down."
Savage Went Into Politics
The podcast hosts have said they're unsure why Savage has declined to talk with them.
"We didn't have a fight. There's no falling out," said Friedle back in 2023. "There was no animosity. He just woke up one day, and decided, 'I don't want this person in my life anymore.'"
But not only has Savage pivoted to parenthood since his time on Boy Meets World, but he has also entered politics. In 2022, he ran for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council. Two years later, he ran as a Democrat for California's 30th Congressional District. He lost both races.
