The rodeo community is in mourning after a famous bull rider and judge tragically died in a motorcycle crash on May 30.

Professional bull rider Morgan Julian has died after a tragic motorcycle crash. As reported by People, the crash happened on Saturday, May 30 in Mesa, Arizona.

According to the Mesa Police Department, police officers responded to the incident toward the evening. There, they pronounced the 31-year-old bull rider dead.

Not many more details have been released following Julian's passing. His family released a statement confirming his death.

Julian had previously stepped away from active rodeo competitions. This was in order to take care of his children. But he still kept on judging rodeo events even when he wasn't an active participant. He was on his way to judge a competition when the fatal crash happened.

The Rodeo Community Is In Mourning Following the Bull Rider's Passing

A friend of Julian, Tonka Baj, had one really clear thing to say. "That guy really rode bulls really good, was a real cowboy."

He continued, "Morgan was a very genuine dude. Obviously, loved riding bulls, but more importantly loved helping other guys achieve their goals and help them and make them better."

Another friend, Kelly Jo Hinshaw, said that "He was an amazing dad." She continued, "Bought his kids everywhere with him and kept them a part of the rodeo world and all while being a good dad and a great bull rider and just a great friend to everybody."

A statement released on social media from a local rodeo community echoed the sentiment. "Our Rodeo community is heartbroken by the loss of Morgan Julian. His passing has left an unimaginable void, and our thoughts and prayers are with his children, family, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."

The Bull Rider Community Will Honor Him

And Julian will be honored in a pretty cool way. Members of the rodeo community have organized a bull-riding event as well as a fundraiser in his honor. The event is due to take place at the Roadrunner Restaurant & Saloon in New River, Arizona.

The proceeds from several events like silent auctions and raffles will be given directly to Julian's family.

Rest in peace.
