In case you weren't aware, the son of boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, Daniel Leonard, was recently arrested. And now, his father has released a damning statement, alongside some legal proceedings.
As reported by the New York Post, he revealed that he had filed a restraining order against his son on May 20. He wrote that he believed his son was an addict, a thief, and a "danger" to himself and his family.
He wrote, "He has overdosed 4 times. They had to bring him back to life 2 times at the hospital! He has stolen extreme amounts of money valuable items! He [illegible] steals every day for years!"
The boxing legend revealed that there have been two incidents that made this stark decision a needed one. The first was a physical altercation between the two. He explained, "The police officers were needed at that moment! The police officers came and he [Daniel] was escorted off our property because of where things were headed."

The Boxing Legend Filed a Restraining Order Over the Incident
This situation sparked a temporary restraining order - but it was something that Daniel did not follow. He apparently appeared at his home, and was subsequently arrested.
Jail records from Los Angeles County say that Daniel was kept there till May 22.
Court records also show that the restraining order that Ray requested was granted very quickly. The court order says that Daniel is to stay at least 100 yds away from Ray and his wife, as well as their home. However, he didn't grant the request for the restraining order "to include adult daughter [Camille] as a protected party."
This is despite Sugar Ray Leonard writing, "My wife is extremely afraid, along with me [sic] daughter Camille!"
The restraining order is still temporary, although it will last until 15 June - and that's when a hearing is going to take place to see if something more permanent will be put into effect.
The boxing legend's son may also be facing sanctions for his alleged violation of the restraining order. That hearing is set for June 25.
