The Yellowstone spinoff Marshals ended its first season on Sunday, May 24. The story of how Kayce Dutton is handling being a widower, a single dad, and a U.S. Marshal in Montana caught fire with the audience. The drama has reportedly been renewed for another season. I would imagine that the crew becomes close because they are working long hours together daily. Each person's tasks are important to the success of the whole endeavor. Perhaps that explains in part why the last episode of season one of Marshals was dedicated to Leonard "Lenny" E. Hancock Jr.

He was the show's late prop master, per IMDb. A dedication card at the conclusion of the episode read, "In Loving Memory of Leonard "Lenny" E. Hancock Jr." According to the outlet, "He died in December in the Lake Havasu neighborhood of Arizona as a result of a crash involving an off-road Utv."
Hancock Was Highly Regarded
Sherill Watts was an industry colleague of Hancock's. She evidently thought highly of him professionally and personally. Watts observed per the outlet, "Losing Lenny has been heartbreaking. He touched so many people, and the outpouring of stories and love says everything about who he was. He showed up fully for his work, for his friends, and for the community we share."
A Tragic Accident Claimed Hancock's Life in December
Per Arizona Family, in a story dated December 23, 2025, "Dispatchers were told a Polaris RZR hit a building, and a man was lying unconscious on the sidewalk." Lenny Hancock, 54, apparently was the driver of that vehicle. It allegedly flipped and ejected him. Hancock was deceased when he was found.
His Teenage Son Aidan Created a GoFundMe To Continue His Racing Career
In a touching tribute to his late dad on GoFundMe, Aidan Hancock wrote about a dream they both shared, and that he intends to pursue. He posted in part, "My name is Aidan Hancock, and I am a 17-year-old motorcycle racer from Arizona, driven by a lifelong passion for racing and a commitment to excellence."
He added, "Earlier this year, I lost my father, who was not only my biggest supporter but also the foundation behind my racing journey. While his passing has been deeply challenging, it has strengthened my resolve to continue pursuing the dream we built together and to honor his legacy through my efforts on and off the track."
