Some new details have emerged regarding Ludwig Kaiser's arrest. The WWE superstar reportedly got into a confrontation with another man after being told to "have some manners." The situation occurred after Kaiser and an unnamed woman were "uncontrollably intimate" in the presence of the other male.

Kaiser is accused of striking the man, named Richard Reap, on April 23.
"Reap reportedly told police he had been assaulted outside the elevator on the 12th floor around 6:30 p.m. ET after an unknown white man and female followed him into an elevator," the New York Post reports. "He alleged the pair kissed in a manner he described as "uncontrollably intimate.""
Reap alleges that Kaiser hit him multiple times before pushing him to the floor, with the threat of further violence. According to the police who attended to Reap, they noticed signs of a "recent physical altercation."
Upon reviewing surveillance footage, they saw Reap being assaulted, with Kaiser being the alleged culprit. Reap proceeded to pick Kaiser out of a six-man lineup. He later turned himself in. However, Kaiser has filed a motion to allow him to travel outside of the United States, noting he has "every intention to appear at all required court appearances."
WWE's Ludwig Kaiser Is Set To Compete in Mexico
The reason Kaiser needs permission to leave the United States is that he's scheduled to main event an upcoming AAA Lucha Libre card. Kaiser has been wrestling under the pseudonym of El Grande Americano. He's scheduled to face Chad Gable, the "original" El Grande Americano, in what will be a mask-vs-mask bout.
The storyline leading up to this headlining matchup has been building for months. It would be a disaster for Kaiser, the WWE, AAA and Gable if the match wasn't allowed to go ahead. At some point, the storyline needs to move forward, which is why having Gable and Kaiser face off is so important.
Before portraying El Grande Americano, Kaiser was part of the Imperium faction, along with Gunther. Since the fact split, their careers have gone in totally different directions. Kaiser will undoubtedly be hoping that his current brush with the law doesn't push him further down the card.
