“A Liar and a Thief”: NFL Hall of Famer Accuses Longtime Manager of Theft in Online Rant

An NFL Hall of Famer has took a wild shot at his longtime manager. He's branded her a "liar and a thief" after alleging she did some shady stuff.

Former 49ers wide receiver and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens has gone on a wild rant on social media. He took a pretty big shot at his former manager Heather Mesalam - and the accusations are crazy.

He alleged in a string of screenshots and photos that Mesalam was "a liar and a thief". The NFL Hall of Famer posted the receipts on social media on Sunday, May 17. He explained, "I haven't always used my voice when I should. But I got time today."

What Did the NFL Hall of Famer Allege Against His Longtime Manager?

Well, things got pretty heated. The post shows a screenshot of a receipt from Mesalam, showing a whole host of numbers. It's mostly stuff you'd expect - child support, Verizon, water bills, that sort of stuff.

But, helpfully circled in red, the bill also reads, "Me - 1500". According to Owens, that's a $200 pay increase. So, the NFL Hall of Famer confronted her via iMessage - "I never approved that."

But Mesalam said that he approved of the pay increase in, "I think it was Jan." This is where things started to get heated. "What's awhile ago?", he writes. "Send me the exact date that it started. ? You can't just do that."

After some more heated texts, things get a little clearer. While Owens says that she added the pay rise without his consent, in her view, it was acceptible.

This is where the issue arises - she says that the receipt breakdown of his bills that she apparently sends every month, along with him accepting the receipt, means that her pay rise was accepted. But, Owens argued it wasn't every month.

The last response from the NFL Hall of Famer is pretty poignant. It gives her a pretty clear ultimatum. "Please send over the information I asked for or I'll get it through legal. That's not cool."

The NFL Legend Was Apprehensive to Go Public About the Issue

In the caption, Owens revealed he was a little worried about going public about the issue. The Hall of Famer explained, "I struggled with whether I should post or not because of the many questions I would receive of what and/or why, but with so many people committing suicide and leaving loved ones behind and leaving their families of trying to figure out why. This IS Why?!"

He revealed that he's cut all ties with his manager because of what happened. This is a pretty wild situation, and we hope it gets resolved soon.
