Texas-Bound Flight Forced To Land After Alleged Wild Drunk Passenger Bit Cabin Crew

An allegedly drunk passenger was recorded in a viral video being aggressive to flight attendants. He even apparently bit someone.

A lot of people tend to drink when it comes to flying. Whether it's to make things a little less boring or, in my case, to calm my nerves, it's all too commonplace. But sometimes people drink a little too much, and then things get out of control.

That's what happened during a Qantas flight from Melbourne to Dallas on Friday, May 15. A crazy passenger was recorded in a viral video acting out after exiting the bathroom. As reported by the New York Post, the passenger was acting out before this point, but it wasn't captured on video.

The man goes into a tirade about a world of meaningless nonsense. When the flight attendants ask him to stop swearing, he even asks one if they "smoked weed."

A flight attendant even asked him, as politely as possible, "We need you to behave yourself!" His response was all too relatable but insane given the circumstances. "Bro, I was just about to walk out for a cigarette."

Sure, a drunk cigarette may have solved the problem, but I think it would've caused a whole world of problems thousands of feet in the air.

The Allegedly Drunk Passenger Got Aggressive

The video continues by showing the passenger almost breaking someone's laptop as he goes to walk down the aisle. "Put that wrist lock off me again, there are problems."

The flight ended up needing to be diverted to Tahiti. When the Tahitian police boarded the flight, they acted swiftly. He ended up with his face slammed into the floor, being restrained.

While the video didn't directly show any biting action, it had been reported that the passenger had done so. Because of this, the passenger now has a total ban from all Qantas flights.

In a statement, a Qantas spokesperson explained, "The safety of our customers and our crew is our number one priority, and we have zero tolerance for disruptive or threatening behavior on our flights."

Luckily for all the passengers, the flight still got to Dallas. After a brief pit stop in Tahiti's capital, Papeete, and a refuel, the plane flew back out. It ended up getting to its destination early on Saturday, May 16, although a few hours late.

This is an absolutely crazy incident. I guess it serves as a good reminder to monitor your drinking when you're up high!
