If you've been to a Pizza Hut in the past few years, there's a decent chance you've visited a Pizza Hut Classic. While they're not the most common when compared to their more modern Pizza Hut counterparts, they're still an occurrence you've likely to have seen at least once.
According to Upworthy, they've really tried their best to keep everything nostalgic. Firstly, Classic restaurants are required to have Pizza Hut's gabled roof as a part of their building. So that means no modern architectural nonsense.
Secondly, and arguably more importantly, they try to keep the interior absolutely authentic to how it was in the 80s and 90s. Think red cups, the iconic stained glass lights, the jukebox - even the salad bar. Sounds great, right?
But, if you live in certain areas across the US, they might be a bit difficult to come across. But this won't be the case for much longer, hopefully. That's because a Pizza Hut franchisee has vowed to convert 80 restaurants back into their nostalgic Classic form.

The Pizza Hut Classics Will Be Built Up By Tim Sparks
Tim Sparks is the President of the Daland Corporation, which is a major franchisee of Pizza Hut already. But, as reported by CBS News, he's decided to take the pretty drastic step of converting the 80 restaurants. And it's partly as an homage to where he got his start.
His first job was at a Pizza Hut working as a dishwasher - but the restaurants he wants to revive looked just like they did then, rather than the modern ones that exist today.
And the scheme is working. Pizza Hut Classics are massively outperforming their standard counterparts. People have said that the nostalgia is a big part in why they just keep returning.
Sparks explained, "People come from two, three hours away. And I'm not making that up!" I certainly don't blame them, either - what I wouldn't do for a taste of nostalgia.
One customer said, "When you finally find something that tastes how you genuinely remember it tasting, like, you can't let it go." Ain't that the truth!
We hope that more and more of these restaurants end up getting built around the country.
