Theo Von Speaks Out After Joe Rogan Expresses Concern for His Health: “I’m a Human Being”

Theo Von has been the subject of quite some concern from the popular podcaster. But he's spoken out about the whole ordeal.

Joe Rogan recently called out Theo Von in an episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. But not in the way you'd expect.

It didn't seem to come from a place of malice. He was concerned about Von's recent comments, ever since he started taking SSRIs. If you're not aware, SSRIs are a form of antidepressants used to treat things like depression and anxiety.

Rogan explained his concern for Theo Von came from his constant mentions of suicide. "It freaks me out because I know Theo has had conversations before... like even publicly. He had a Netflix taping, and it didn't go well."

He continued, "...When he was talking to the crowd—and there's a video of it—he said, you know, the people were saying... 'Hey, we still love you!' He goes, 'Thank you. Look, I'm just, I'm trying not to take my own life."

That is a pretty insane thing for someone to say. No wonder Rogan said that Netflix had to shelve it.

Rogan then went on to explain that he really wanted to help Theo Von. "I've known too many people that I didn't think were going to kill themselves and then did... He goes down these spirals about world events and freaking out. [And] I'm like, oh, Jesus Christ! Like, I gotta help this dude."

Theo Von Responded to the Podcast Clip on X

But Theo Von seemed to think the whole thing was a little overblown. In a response to the podcast clip on X, he called the whole thing "cap."

It reads, "This is mostly [cap]. Sad to see this kinda stuff. Im doing great. Im a human being which is a rocky ride. But im doing fine thanks."

People on social media seemed to have mixed reactions to the whole ordeal. Some criticized Joe Rogan for making things so public.

One commenter wrote, "I gotta help this guy by airing out his personal issues to my millions of listeners!" Another wrote, "@joerogan why gossip about @TheoVon on your PD instead of calling him."

Others seemed to support Joe Rogan, saying that his concern came "out of love."
