Woman Accused of Pepper Spraying Army Veteran Over Slow Driving

A veteran was driving in his truck when a woman angrily drove in front of him and slammed her breaks. She's now been arrested for a felony.

A woman has been accused of pepper spraying an Army veteran for a pretty shocking reason.

According to Fox 2 KTVU, 41-year-old Tiffany Bagby of Vallejo, California, was arrested after a road rage incident. A viral video apparently shows her getting out of her Nissan Altima before approaching Joe Vallely's work truck.

Vallely, a veteran, didn't want any trouble. He later explained to authorities that the woman had gotten frustrated because he was driving slowly. Bagby had drove in front of him to cut him off, before she stopped her car and got out.

"She slammed on her brakes. She forced me to slam on my breaks. There's cars behind me that almost hit me. I almost hit the lady." So, he decided to start taking a video, as he was concerned she was armed. According to him, Bagby had been making obscene gestures toward him as they were both driving.

The video goes on to show Bagby walking up to the truck and saying, "You scared? You should be scared, b****", before spraying a chemical toward him through his truck window. The chemical, later found out to be pepper spray, hit him right in his eyes.

The city had recently installed "speed tables" on the road, which stops people from driving too fast.

The Veteran Recalled What the Pepper Spray Felt Like

He told the outlet, "I immediately felt the pepper spray. She was like 2 feet away, she got me directly in the eyeballs. It felt like someone was sandblasting my eyeballs with glass."

He ended up needing to go to a local medical center in order to have his eyes flushed out. Vallely, who suffers with PTSD, said that this was the last thing he expected to have to deal with.

Bagby ended up getting arrested, but not in the way you'd think. A warrant was put out for her arrest, but when officers went to her home, she "refused to cooperate or discuss the incident."

So, when officers saw her driving at an intersection on Thursday, May 14, they tried to put her in a traffic stop. But, she fled, leading to a four mile chase. She was then charged with multiple felonies, including felony evasion, battery, and false imprisonment.
