During a sit-down interview with Complex, the legendary producer declared that he wants former President Barack Obama to immortalize them at the award ceremony.

"I want Barack Obama to Induct Wu-Tang Clan into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," RZA said. "I'm definitely one of his biggest fans. Of course, he was the president. The world loved Obama.

"His coming to who he was resonated in my household. I don't have a lot of pictures of other people on my wall. I have Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix... you know, the greats. And I have Barack Obama on my wall. So, that's my selfish dream."

RZA stated that he has yet to meet Obama, but would cherish it if the Chicago-born politician inducted Wu-Tang Clan into the Rock Hall of Fame.

Wu-Tang Clan Headlines Loaded Rock HOF Class of 2026

Wu-Tang Clan is more than just an award-winning rap group. They are hip-hop trailblazers who helped push the genre into the mainstream spotlight.

Since its inception in 1993, Wu-Tang Clan has sold over 20 million records in America alone. The notorious rap group boasts several certified platinum albums, and its members also enjoyed massive success as solo artists.

Now, the hip-hop collective will take its rightful place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Obama, who releases an annual playlist of his favorite songs of the year, has gone on record as an avid hip-hop fan. So, the former commander-in-chief may take up RZA's offer in November.

Other members of this year's class of inductees include Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Luther Vandross, Oasis, Phil Collins, Queen Latifah and Sade.

The induction will take place in November in Los Angeles.
