Reality television has a tendency to cross-pollinate. We often see contestants from shows pop up elsewhere within the reality sphere. So, if Taylor Hicks, the winner of the 2006 American Idol series, were to show up on Dancing With The Stars, we wouldn't be too surprised, especially now Carrie Underwood has name-dropped him as a solid choice for next season.

Underwood, the winner of American Idol in 2005, has made her feelings about Hicks potentially joining the dancing show very clear. Her comments came via a May 4 episode of American Idol. The episode was a "Class of 2006" special reunion, featuring five finalists from that series.
Each former finalist teamed up with a contestant from this year's show to perform a duet. Hicks, of course, was a standout. Teaming with Keyla Richardson, the duo's cover of "Living With The City" by Stevie Wonder was exceptional.
That's when Underwood planted the seed for next season's Dancing With The Stars.
"It was so much fun, you guys," Underwood said. "I wouldn't have put you guys together, you know, if I had anybody ... I wouldn't have done that. But it worked. And it worked because you guys both are professionals. You sound incredible. You guys were both just having a good time. I vote for Taylor on the next season of 'Dancing with the Stars.' I think that would be so much fun."
Ryan Seacrest Appears To Agree With Carrie Underwood
As the judges continued to share their thoughts on the duet, Ryan Seacrest, who is also a judge on the show, also noted how Hicks would fit with Dancing With The Stars.
"We did see the moves," Seacrest said. "You should be on 'Dancing with the Stars.' The boss of 'Dancing with the Stars,' Rob Mills, is here right now. So, Rob, you have a meeting with this guy after the show."
While Hicks didn't reject the notion of joining another reality show, there's no confirmation whether he will actually be part of the next series. If he is, though, chances are he'll emerge as a strong contestant and could potentially wind up competing in the final.
