Comedian Makes Shocking Charlie Kirk Joke During Kevin Hart Roast

The comedian's comments about Charlie Kirk were actually directed at the controversial humorist Tony Hinchcliffe.

Months after Jimmy Kimmel was suspended from his talk show for making comments about the assassination of Charlie Kirk on his ABC late-night talk show, Pete Davidson made a remark about the late conservative activist during The Roast of Kevin Hart.

The show was streamed live on Netflix from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, yesterday, May 10. It was part of the Netflix Is a Joke Festival.

What Did Pete Davidson Say About Charlie Kirk?

Davidson, who was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2022, made his remark about Kirk as an insult toward Tony Hinchcliffe of "Kill Tony" fame.

If you recall, Hinchcliffe compared the United States territory of Puerto Rico to an island of garbage at a campaign rally for President Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden in 2024.

"Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he's definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat," said Davidson.

He then added, "Oh, you don't know me? Yeah, 'Kill Tony'! Please someone f****** kill Tony.'"

Kirk was fatally shot during an outdoor speaking appearance on Wednesday, September 10, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was 31.

Davidson Wasn't Done

Despite the groans from the audience, Davidson continued his tirade on Hinchcliffe. This time, the comedian referenced Kanye West. He had a feud with the rapper while Davidson was dating his ex-wife, reality star Kim Kardashian.

"Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings. I was in a beef with Kanye, so I've taken shots from better gay N-zis," he said.

West has made antisemitic statements in the past. He apologized for them in January in a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal.

After targeting Hinchcliffe, Davidson shifted focus to comedian Kevin Hart, saving his kindest words for the man of the hour.

He said, "I love you very much. You've always been super nice to me. You're a very hardworking person, and when it's all said and done, in the comedy world, it's most important to be remembered."
