The Beatles' first official museum is being constructed at the Mayfair building, where the iconic band recorded its final album and performed its last live show, Paul McCartney announced on Monday.

In 2027, fans will be able to explore seven stories of the Georgian townhouse, featuring "never-seen-before material from Apple Corps' extensive archives, rotating exhibitions, fan store, and the recreation of the original studio where Let it Be (1970) was recorded," according to a press release.
Visitors to the venue will also gain access to the rooftop, where the band played its final gig in 1969.
Paul McCartney, who is slated to release his album The Boys of Dungeon Lane this month, recently returned to the historic venue. "There are so many special memories within the walls," he said in a press release. "Not to mention the rooftop. The team has put together some really impressive plans. I'm excited for people to see it when it's ready."
The Beatles at 3 Savile Row Will Be an Official Beatles Museum
For years, Beatles fanatics have visited Abbey Road, where the band shot the cover of its titular album. Now, McCartney is thrilled to invite fans into a more immersive experience.
"Tourists come to England, and they can go to Abbey Road, but they can't go inside. So I thought this was a terrific idea," McCartney told the BBC.
Several unlicensed Beatles archives exist around the United Kingdom—including in the band's Liverpool hometown. The new one, formally named The Beatles at 3 Savile Row, is the first to be officially recognized by the band and its label, Apple Corps.
"Every single day, fans are taking pictures of the outside of 3 Savile Row. But next year, they can go in and explore all seven floors of the iconic building. Including the rooftop where even the railings remain the same from that famous day in 1969," Apple Corps CEO Tom Greene said.
More details regarding the seven-story exhibit are expected in the coming months.
Fans eager to explore the venue can register for tickets on the band's official website.
