Per People, the actor shared with the outlet in November 2024 that he had stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. "Five months later, he announced that he was cancer-free." But that was not the end of his health challenges. Dave Coulier said in December 2025 that he had p16 squamous carcinoma, another form of cancer. As of February, he said that he is reportedly in remission. On May 7, Coulier provided an update about his condition on Instagram.

Coulier Lost 45 Pounds Because of His Cancer Treatment

He said in a video that he is so thin now because of his cancer treatment. "What you're seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat. I haven't been able to eat solid food in months. So I've lost 45 pounds, that's what you're seeing."

It even affected the sound of Coulier's voice . He added, "So you're right on with what you're seeing and what you're hearing."

After a year and a half following his non-Hodgkin lymphoma, he reports that his hair is tentatively returning. Furthermore, and even better, Coulier's PET scans came back with promising news. He said, "The prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma. So we're very pleased with all of that."

He Has Stayed Active

Dave Coulier has remained busy with the things he cares about. Per People, that is "from artwork to creative writing and building his non-toxic store, Awear Market...."

Many People Graciously Wished Coulier Well

His wife, Melissa, posted in the comments for his video, "ILYMTA." That stands for I Love You More Than Anything.

Kelly Rizzo, who is the widow of Coulier's Full House co-star Bob Saget, wrote this touching message. "You are so very loved, Dave. And truly no one is stronger than you. God bless you wonderful friend. Wish Bob was here to make you laugh." (Bob Saget died on January 9, 2022.)
