Lauren Alaina recently shared that some of the best advice she has received came from "The House That Built Me" singer. And if we're being honest, it's good advice even if you're not a country music star.

What Advice Did Miranda Lambert Give Lauren Alaina?

Alaina recounted her meeting with Lambert during an interview on the Taste of Country Nights podcast.

"I ran into [Lambert] at the BMI awards, in the bathroom," she shared. "It was my first time meeting her, and she was like, 'Don't you let this town or anybody change who you are. You're a sweet Southern girl, and you stay that way.'"

This advice surprised Alaina. She didn't think Lambert even knew who she was.

Alaina added, "It was the sweetest moment ever."

This Isn't the Only Good Advice Lambert Has Doled Out in the Bathroom

As many fans know, Lambert and Ella Langley wrote the hit song "Choosin' Texas" together with Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor at a writing retreat several years ago.

Langley shared the unusual story of how it came about late last year.

"[Lambert] told me she had a pet kangaroo, and she was doing something, she was driving down a dirt road, and the kangaroo was in the back seat, and the dog was in the front seat. There was a lot going on," Langley explained.

"Then she got pulled over with a kangaroo in the passenger seat," the singer continued. "And I was like, 'This story's as good as I thought it would be.' She said the lady cop pulled her over, and she's like, 'Of course I have Texas plates on the back of my car.'"

Langley then explained that she was "walking to the bathroom and I started to go, 'She's from Texas, I can tell by the way he's two-steppin' around the room.'"

Lambert was following behind her. Langley recalled, "She was like, 'Wait a minute! The b***h he went with, she's from Texas, I can tell. The girl he went with, you know?'"

The rest is history. So if you're looking to change your life, follow Miranda Lambert to the bathroom. You never know what might happen.
