"He showed a fake video of the First Lady, Melania, and our son, Barron, like they were actually sitting in his studio, listening to him speak, which they weren't, and never would be," the President explained.

The President then continued to repeat Kimmel's joke, which was a parody of the White House Correspondents' Dinner, before sharing his opinion on the matter.

"He then stated, 'Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have the glow like an expectant widow,'" he continued. "A day later, a lunatic tried entering the ballroom of the White House Correspondents Dinner, loaded up with a shotgun, handgun, and many knives. He was there for very obvious and sinister reasons."

The President then called for Kimmel to be fired for his joke and the outrage it had caused.

"I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kinmel's despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything he said, but this is something far beyond the pale," he continued. "Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC."

President Donald Trump Is the Third Member of the White House To Call Out Kimmel

President Trump is now the third member of the White House to share their frustration with Kimmel's joke. Melania recently referred to him as a "coward." Karoline Leavitt has also noted how anti-Trump rhetoric has helped fuel violence.

"His words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America," Melania wrote in a post on social media, via TMZ. "...Shouldn't have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate."

According to TMZ, neither Kimmel, ABC or Disney have been available for comment regarding the current situation. Nevertheless, the fallout from his joke is likely to continue reverberating for some time to come. As such, it may yet be addressed.
