Allen, 29, pounded the ceremonial drum before Game 2 of the first-round playoff matchup against the Boston Bruins, and chugged an entire beer in front of a sold-out KeyBank Center.

After guzzling the adult beverage, Allen flung the empty beer can into the air and belted a rally cry to amplify the roaring crowd.

Despite the elite pre-game hype from the Bills quarterback, the Sabres dropped Game 2 4-2 to the Bruins.

The series is now tied, as Buffalo recorded its first playoff win in 15 years on Sunday.

During the regular season, the Sabres scored the fourth-most goals. The team finished as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Despite their strong performance, the Bruins were an Achilles heel for them in the regular season. Through four regular-season matchups, the Bruins were 3-1 against the Sabres.

Game 3 will be held at TD Garden in Boston on April 23 and will air live on TNT.

Josh Allen Has Become a Star in Buffalo

This time, the Sabres will likely have to wage war without a pre-game rally from the Bills signal-caller Allen.

Allen was drafted seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft and has evolved into the superstar the team envisioned. The former Wyoming standout has led the Bills to seven straight playoff appearances.

In 2024, he was named the NFL Most Valuable Player. That season, the dual-threat quarterback totaled 41 touchdowns -- 28 passing, 12 rushing, one receiving. He became the only player in NFL history with 25-plus passing touchdowns, 10-plus rushing touchdowns and a receiving score.

Allen and his wife, actress-singer Hailee Steinfeld, recently announced the birth of their daughter.
