Rain, formerly known as Rayne Leverkusen, became immensely popular among the indie wrestling scene. Now, the "Maiden of Metal" will make her debut on NXT on April 28.

NXT aired a vignette featuring Rain during the April 21st episode, teasing her highly anticipated debut.

"They said I was too loud. Too gritty. Too unapologetic. But I will never apologize for who I am. And that is Lizzy Rain and heavy metal, baby," the guitar-shredding wrestler said in the promo. "The stage is set for my NXT debut and the world is about to find out that Lizzy Rain and heavy metal will never, ever die!"

Lizzy Rain Gives Headbanging New Meaning on NXT

Rain, 28, confirmed her relation to Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr in a 2023 episode of Wrestling with Johners podcast, appearing under her then-ring name Rayne Leverkusen. She revealed that her in-ring persona, the Maiden of Metal, is an intentional ode to her famous uncle.

Burr was featured in Iron Maiden's first three albums, "Iron Maiden" (1980), "Killers" (1981), and "The Number of the Beast" (1982). He was a member of the band from 1979 to 1982.

Despite debuting over four decades ago, Iron Maiden remains popular today, and averages 9 million monthly Spotify listeners. The heavy metal band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Now, their legacy will enter the WWE Universe, too, as Lizzy Rain prepares to take NXT by storm.

NXT, which airs weekly on The CW, is WWE's development ranks and has become a breeding ground for the wrestling legends of tomorrow.

NXT alumni Je'Von Evans, Oba Femi and Trick Williams made their WrestleMania debuts less than a year after being promoted to the main roster.
