The lawyer also shared that the victim's family will exercise their rights under California's Victims' Bill of Rights, also known as Marsy's Law. This means they will attend D4vd's arraignment if he is charged with murder and attend and speak to reporters at any press conference held afterward.

The attorney for the singer-songwriter issued a statement about his client's arrest.
"Let us be clear - the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death," it read. "There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed. David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David's innocence."
Sources say that "the arrest is based on evidence and probable cause that was developed." Those same sources made it clear that his arrest "was not an indictment."
Back in September, a source said that the "Romantic Homicide" singer had not been cooperative with authorities in their investigation.
