La'Boris Cole, the wife of gospel singer Marvin Sapp, isn't pleased with claims that their wedding was paid for with church funds.

La'Boris Cole, the wife of gospel singer Marvin Sapp, isn't pleased with claims that their wedding was paid for with church funds. During a recent Easter Sunday service at The Chosen Vessel Church, where Sapp is a pastor, La'Boris addressed those rumors.

"Despite what the haters on the internet say about you, you are an integral man. You don't take or rob the church," she said. "The church didn't pay for the wedding. Y'all stop lying. God's been good to me. Y'all stop that. Now, y'all stop. Devil, you are defeated."

La'Boris, who arrived at her wedding in a helicopter with her sister and father, then continued addressing the rumors.

"Saying all these lies about the man of God," she added. "I bought the helicopter. He didn't buy the helicopter. Let's make that straight while we screaming...Stop it. Everybody not broke. And everybody don't need the church's money to pay," she said. "So, hey, God's been good, y'all."

Interestingly, La'Boris didn't stop there. She then went on to explain that the church wasn't the couple's only source of income.

"(We have) multiple streams of income outside the church," she continued, "So y'all go and record and tell that."

Marvin Sapp Believes He's a Better Husband Than a Boyfriend

During a recent conversation with Essence, Marvin admitted that he's better suited to being a husband than he ever was to being a boyfriend.

"I've always told La'Boris that I'm a better husband than I am a boyfriend because I have more experience being a husband than I do being a single man. I was a husband for 20 years, nearly half my life at the time," he said. "I love being a husband. I'm looking forward to being who I've always known myself to be, to being back in that space of what I'm really good at."

Sapp was previously married to MaLinda Prince. Sadly, she passed away from colon cancer in 2010. However, he did admit that the couple's decision to bring their wedding forward came as a surprise to people outside of their immediate circle.

"We chose March 20 since it is the beginning of spring, representing a new season both literally and figuratively," Sapp explained. "We set the date before we were engaged!"

Now that the couple has addressed the rumors surrounding their wedding, they will undoubtedly hope that line of conversation is over for good. Of course, they will have no control over whether that turns out to be the case.
