A reality star has revealed the horrifying experience she went through after her black market Brazilian butt lift went wrong. As reported by the Daily Mail, the details are pretty grim.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star K. Michelle revealed that back in 2012, she had "illegal silicone injections" in her buttocks. But, things went horribly from there. She's had to spend the last decade enduring surgery after surgery to remove it.
She even had to get reconstructive surgery recently, in order to remove infected tissue. This comes after another procedure on her buttocks caused the infection.
Michelle admitted her implants started leaking before her performance at the Academy of Country Music awards in 2024. "I was standing there in a bathrobe. Everyone was blow-drying me down, just to get me on stage to sing," she revealed.
The whole incident has obviously left her with a lot of trauma. During the interview, she broke down in tears. She said that she really regretted ever going under the knife for the procedure.
She explained she "just hates" what she "did" to herself. She said it's the worst thing she ever did to herself, explaining that she "paid for it for years." The silicone specifically was the part that caused all of her health troubles.

She Admitted Her Implants Were Illegal
Michelle also opened up about how she originally found the surgeon who performed the illegal injections.
She explained that she heard of "a man in Atlanta" after her "favorite rapper" used his services. She thought that she'd be safe. But it turns out that "he wasn't a doctor." She added that "It was black market, it was these 'hydrogel' injections - that's what they were being called."
She has previously documented her recovery journey in a docuseries called My Killer Body with K. Michelle.
This comes after there has been a massive increase in implants and BBLs. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported that there was a 90% increase in BBLs between 2015 and 2022.
We hope that she continues her recovery journey, and that she recovers soon.
