Trump Personally Greets Doordasher Delivering McDonald’s to White House, Gives Huge Tip

While we're not sure how much he gave her as a tip, reporters spotted that it was a pretty big amount. He ordered a lot, after all!

President Donald Trump had a more candid spot in the limelight when he personally greeted a DoorDash driver. As reported by the Daily Mail, she was delivering McDonald's to the White House.

Sharon Simmons, a DoorDash driver from Arkansas, was the one to deliver the meal to the President. She was wearing a bright red shirt emblazoned with "DoorDash Grandma". The press captured her handing President Trump two big bags of McDonald's.

Simmons said that she was there to ask about tax on tips. Trump said that "the no tax on tips is something special. It's very special and that's one that really pertains to you."

President Trump also said that it was an "honor" to meet her, quipping that she was "a great supporter". But, she didn't explicitly say that on camera. In typical Trump fashion, he asked her about a variety of other things. But, she tried to keep things on track by saying "I really don't have an opinion... I'm here about tax on tips."

Speaking of tips, Trump handed her a pretty big wad of cash for a tip. While we're aren't sure just how much Simmons got, reporters managed to spot at least $100 in there. And, if what Trump said is anything to go by, she got a pretty nice cash boost.

He said about giving tips to other workers that "we had a man the other day, he got $5,000. Another got seven [thousand] that they weren't expecting." And, with the no tax on tips policy, things might have been a little sweeter for her.

Of course, Trump just had to mention about the big beautiful bill. He said that the no tax on tips legislation began with the Big Beautiful Bill act.

Trump Loves His McDonald's

Trump really, really loves his McDonald's. While we don't know the exact contents of the order he got from DoorDash, Steven Cheung gave us a little insight.

The White House Communications Director posted a picture on X showing a half-eaten cheeseburger. But, there's obviously more in those two full bags - maybe more cheeseburgers?

Either way, we expect that these DoorDash orders will just keep coming. Here's hoping he keeps up the tips.
