Dallas Cowboys Star Arrested on Drug Charges

The Dallas Cowboys star has been charged on one felony count, and one misdemeanor count. The Cowboys said they were aware of the arrest.

Dallas Cowboys star Markquese Bell has been arrested on drug charges, as reported by CBS News Texas.

Collin County jail records show that he was arrested in Prosper, Texas, on Friday, April 10. Bell is now facing one felony count of possession of a controlled substance, as well as one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.

However, no details have been released or confirmed confirming the arrest itself. The outlet did reach out to the Dallas Cowboys. They said they were aware of the arrest but have refused to comment at this time.

But, Bell's agent has revealed that his client will let the legal process take its due course. Deiric Jackson stressed that people should "certainly let Markquese have his day like anybody else."

Markquese Bell currently plays with the Dallas Cowboys under the number 14 jersey, playing in the safety position. He was previously undrafted, having signed with the Cowboys as a free agent in 2022 from Florida A&M.

While he usually only plays on special teams, injuries have led to him getting some pretty serious playing time. In 2023, he had 93 tackles in 17 season games.

The Dallas Cowboys Star Isn't the Only NFL Player in Hot Water Recently

But Bell isn't the only NFL player in pretty hot water recently. While it's not quite like what the Dallas Cowboys player has been arrested for, Rams receiver Puka Nucua is in some hot water over allegedly biting a woman during a night out on New Year's Eve.

Madison Atabi filed a restraining order on March 24 after she alleged that Nacua had gotten drunk and bitten her. Nacua had allegedly made her uncomfortable throughout the entire night, making offensive comments before "attacking" her. She said that Nacua bit her so hard on the shoulder that the skin "broke."

And he's booked himself into a luxury rehab center in Malibu as of April 2. The Rams star's attorney confirmed that his stay at the center wasn't to do with the biting incident. But she did mention that "the combination of stories y'all have run is certainly a contributing factor."
