Surgeon Arrested After Man Dies Trying to Enlarge His You Know What

A surgeon and his assistant have been charged on a laundry list of crimes, including drug offenses and failure to assist a person in danger.

Cosmetic surgery is getting more and more popular these days. People are looking to improve every aspect of themselves. Especially their more... private areas. But it's really important to know that these sorts of surgeries can have very real risks attached to them.

And one man paid the ultimate price after he died during a surgery to enlarge his private area. And now, the plastic surgeons responsible have been arrested, as reported by People.

The 65-year-old French man was having injections in his private parts when he had a fatal heart attack. The incident occurred at the Saint-Honoré-Ponthieu clinic on March 2, 2019.

The outlet has reported that the Paris plastic surgeons responsible have been charged on a laundry list of crimes. The main surgeon, only identified as Guy H, was originally going to get a manslaughter charge. But, Paris authorities changed the charges to failure to assist a person in danger, drug offenses, as well as practicing medicine without a license.

The assistant surgeon has also been charged. They were allegedly standing in for Guy when the procedure was happening. The surgeon was apparently not registered with the French Medical Association, despite there being a legal requirement to do so.

The Patient Was Taking Certain Substances Before Suffering the Heart Attack

But, it looks like the patient had been having private troubles before going to the clinic for treatment. And, while judicial sources say the injections didn't have anything to do with the man's death, other things he may have taken could shed more light on the situation.

The investigation surrounding his death revealed the man was taking illegal substances. While these weren't named specifically, since we know the details of his... problems, it's not too much of an assumption, right? He even was taking erectile dysfunction medications.

The man's cause of death was revealed to be cardiac hypertrophy. But, things weren't as clear-cut at the time. A source told the outlet that "It's easy to say in hindsight that the heart attack started at the 8pm call... But since the patient had an ulcer, it was impossible to consider a heart problem... And emergency services wouldn't have been called out for such a minor issue."
