We live in a time where pranks are commonplace, especially when they're designed for social media content. Unfortunately, the law doesn't care why you did something, only where it fell on the right or wrong side of the legal framework.

A popular YouTuber found that out the hard way. He was recently in trouble for yelling that someone had a gun while attending a movie theatre in Canada.
"Fique Wamiq Ayub, 23, Jaiden Joseph-Anthony Mosquera, 23, and an unidentified 17-year-old were cuffed after police responded to a report of an armed person at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby, Ontario, on March 17," Durham Regional Police said on Tuesday.
Ayub, a YouTuber under the name "Fique," boasts 1.27 million subscribers on his YouTube account. He posted the video of the incident to his channel in March.
"At one point, Ayub and his friend walked into a theater, where they screamed, 'He has a gun!' at the top of their lungs," The New York Post reported. "After running out of the theater and stopping to take a photo with a fan, the pair returned. Ayub then yelled out, 'He's not kidding, he has a gun!' according to the clip with over 660,000 views."
Of course, their antics led to hundreds of terrified customers, some of whom were likely families with children. All three 'influencers' were charged with causing disturbance and mischief.
The YouTuber Tried to Lie to the Police
As Ayub and his two friends were leaving the theatre, they were confronted by the police. Ayub immediately put on a fake accident when interacting with the cops.
"A gun, a gun, no, no, no, we are just doing a little documentary, we're doing a vlog, having vlogging channel," Ayub can be heard saying during the video. "I'm going in saying literally we're doing a movie, we're going to movie. I didn't say gun. I see everybody coming ... I'm getting little scared."
It's worth noting that after being detained by police for roughly 40 minutes, Ayub and his friends were free to go. However, he was later arrested for uploading the video online, earning over 600,000 views.
