It's been a while since we heard from Justin Guarini. As you may recall, the singer was the runner-up to Kelly Clarkson in the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002.

Since that life-changing moment on the singing competition show, he's pivoted to become a Broadway performer, a television star, an inspirational speaker, and a best-selling author.
"As a keynote speaker, Justin inspires audiences across America, sharing the secrets of confidence, empowerment, and commanding stage presence and has spoken for and been endorsed by some of the biggest brands in the industry," explains his website.
The 47-year-old is also a father to two boys, William and Asher, and a stepfather to Lola. However, as reported by PEOPLE, he has split from their mother, Reina. He filed for divorce in June 2024.
Justin Guarini Was Married for 14 Years
Guarini and his now-ex-wife were childhood friends before they married in Sep. 2009.
"We've known each other since we were 15. I was a student of her mother's in junior high, and it's a small community, so I ended up getting to know her family," said Guarini at the time. "It wasn't until Christmas two years or so ago that we connected and fell head over heels for one another."
Court documents show the couple reached a divorce settlement last December. The split happened so quietly that TMZ didn't report it until yesterday.
The Former "American Idol" Contestant Is in a New Relationship
After his divorce, Guarini began a relationship with Kim Walsh Phillips. The two appear to have been business partners before dating.
"We are very blessed to have a relationship that started first with the business we built together — working with entrepreneurs to grow their businesses — and has since developed into a romantic partnership of love," said Phillips.
Guarini echoed Phillips' sentiments in a birthday tribute he posted online in January.
"You've brought so much joy, purpose, laughter, and love into my world. I'm a better man, father, creator, and human because of you — and I don't take that for granted for a second," he shared. "Happy Birthday, honey...thank you for being my partner in business, in life, in vision, and in love. I'm endlessly grateful for you."
