The family of legendary actor and martial artist Chuck Norris have condemned AI generated videos falsely sharing circumstances surrounding his death. As reported by Unilad, there has been a lot of these videos circulating around.
The family addressed the appalling videos in a statement. "We are aware that since Chuck's passing, there have been a number of AI-generated videos and posts circulating online that contain false and misleading information regarding the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present," the statement read.
It continued, "These claims are entirely untrue. This includes fabricated reports of past medical issues, as well as false narratives surrounding family relationships." I don't know why people would make "false narratives" about such a legend. That's truly shocking stuff. The statement then continued to ask people to only believe things said by the Norris family.
The statement concluded with a heartfelt thank you from the family. "Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. The Norris Family."
AI generated videos have become extremely popular on the internet, and this shows how they can be quite dangerous when used for the wrong reasons.

Chuck Norris' Death Isn't the First Time AI Has Been Used Like This
But, unfortunately, this isn't the first time AI has been used to exploit the death of someone. This is quite the common thing these days, and Chuck Norris is just the latest of many.
As reported by Taste of Country, the family of Jon Dee Graham had to do just the same. After the Texas-based music legend died at age 67, many AI generated videos speculating on his death circulated on social media. His family posted a statement condemning these videos, whilst publicising his cause of death to avoid any ambiguity.
"There have been a bunch of AI videos speculating John Dee's death (INSANE that people are doing that for clicks)", the statement wrote. They also confirmed his cause of death in order to dispell any rumors. "From what we have been able to deduce... he was letting the dog out and fell."
It really is unbelievable, as Graham's family said, that people would do this for views. Rest in peace to both Chuck Norris and Jon Dee Graham.
