The Goo Goo Dolls have called off their remaining shows across Canada. John Rzeznik recently developed pneumonia, and as such, the group is unable to continue with their previously booked slate of shows in the country.

"Unfortunately, we must cancel the remaining dates on our Canadian tour," the band wrote on Instagram. "John was diagnosed with pneumonia and has not fully recovered. We are very disappointed and can't wait to get back to Canada as soon as possible."
The band then confirmed that all tickets for the remaining shows will be refunded as soon as possible.
The group had four shows remaining throughout Canada, with bookings in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It's worth noting that the band had already canceled three previous shows in Sault Ste. Marie, Oshawa and Hamilton, Ontario.
However, the Goo Goo Dolls did perform on their April 4 show in London, Ontario, despite Rzeznik clearly not being near his usual best.
"I can't believe how good you sounded last night, singing with pneumonia, with your little table of cold meds side stage, blowing your nose and coughing between songs, and the way you were running around between songs," a fan commented on Instagram. "... I hope you didn't push it too hard and caused a setback to your voice and overall health. Get well soon, we love you!!"
Goo Goo Dolls' Fans Were Understanding in the Comments
Despite the band needing to cancel their remaining Canadian dates, fans seem to understand the situation the 90s rockers found themselves in.
"In all fairness and personally, I'm glad the GGD's have cancelled to Canadian tour," a fan wrote. "This is the second time John had contracted pneumonia in less than two years. It's not a condition that you can get over very quickly if you're pushing yourself. You've made the right decision and your health and well being is far more important. Life is precious."
Another encouraged Rzeznik and the rest of the group to use their time off to rest and recover.
"Please take all the time you need to recover," the fan wrote. We'll be here, ready to sing along when you are."
The Goo Goo Dolls will now move onto the next leg of their tour, with their first show back set for Georgetown, Texas on April 18.
