Burger King Embarks on Huge Hiring Drive After Massive Turnaround

Burger King is about to embark on a massive hiring drive after a change in approach has led to a seven percent surge in sales.

Burger King has long been among the biggest players in the fast food market. Yet, for some reason, they've lagged behind the likes of McDonald's and other major chains. It's not that their food was bad, as in most cases, it was on par or better. Yet, something wasn't clicking, and that led to a concerning period of regression.

Well, somebody needs to give their current board their flowers, because Burger King has turned things around, big time.

After a sweeping round of changes, including to the Whopper for the first time in over a decade, business is booming. So much, in fact, that the company is about to embark on a hiring drive, creating up to 60,000 jobs.

'We've done the important work of strengthening our operations, modernizing our restaurants, and listening to our guests, and it's paying off,' Burger King president Tom Curtis said.

According to The Daily Mail, Burger King has seen a recent surge in sales, which in turn has led to a seven percent spike in restaurant visits over the last year. Of course, with more sales and more foot traffic comes the need for additional staff.

"These new jobs will range from entry-level fry cooks to managers overseeing the entire restaurant," The Daily Mail noted.

Burger King President Tom Curtis Listened to His Customers

You may be wondering how Burger King has managed to turn things around, especially in an industry that's highly competitive. The answer is simple: good ol' consumer research.

In 2026, Curtis began taking customer feedback via telephone. "The goal was to review and respond to complaints, most of which addressed a decline in quality and affordability across the fast food chains," The Daily Mail noted.

Furthermore, the company installed AI headsets into staff uniforms, monitoring their friendliness to customers, thus examining the whole customer journey from start to finish.

The approach may have seemed radical at the time, but by putting their customers back at the forefront of their product, Burger King is a business back on the rise. Even in the year 2026, a consumer-focused approach still wins. And for Burger King, it's winning big.
