Dee Freeman has died at 66 after a tragic battle with lung cancer. As reported by People, she was best known for her roles in The Young And The Restless and Seinfeld.
Freeman died after a tragic stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis, her publicist Desirae L. Benson revealed in a statement. Benson commended Freeman's courage throughout her tragic battle. "Dee had a quiet power that commanded respect without ever needing to demand it. Her legacy is not just in her work, but in how she made people feel—and that will stay with us forever."
As well as this, her family also confirmed her tragic passing on Instagram on Friday, April 3. "On behalf of her family, it is with deepest sadness that we share this update with you. Dee passed away peacefully on April 2, after a brave and fearless fight with cancer."
Her family also thanked everyone for supporting the Seinfeld star. "It blew her away to know how many people cared about her and were pulling for her," they wrote. "We know Dee is up there in heaven, being the force of nature she always was. Now she's doing it with her angel wings on."

While Dee Freeman was most well-known for her roles in The Young and the Restless and Seinfeld, she has starred in numerous roles across the years.
Dee Freeman was born in Louisiana in 1960. She served 6 years in the Marine Corps before deciding to take up a career in acting. Her debut role was in an episode of Coach, a sitcom from ABC.
She was also known for leading the parody show Pretty The Series from 2010 to 2015. As well as this, she has also starred in shows like Rude Awakening, ER, The X-Files, Dexter, and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Freeman's most recent role was in Sistas, a show directed by Tyler Perry. The show was airing as recently as in January. Before that, she also appeared in an episode of Reasonable Doubt in 2022.
