The 45-year-old metal singer alleges that a woman in her 40s repeatedly contacted him over a period spanning July to October.
Swedish outlet Aftonbladet reported details of the case, which has since escalated into a formal investigation.
Ghost Frontman Tobias Forge Speaks Out on Alleged Stalking Case
According to the report, the woman allegedly sent lengthy messages of praise to Forge via text and WhatsApp.
Forge blocked her number as the messages continued, but the situation did not stop there.
She is said to have persisted, sending registered letters in an attempt to maintain contact. Most of the letters never reached him, but one recent delivery stood out.
It reportedly contained a mobile phone that "did not look like it was factory-packaged."
Concerned by the package, Forge placed it on his balcony before handing it over to police.
The singer says he has dealt with several stalkers in the past. However, he described this situation as crossing a line, particularly due to the nature of the items being sent.
It is also alleged that the woman made multiple monetary requests to Forge, each amounting to 5,000 kronor.
In a bizarre claim, the woman has said she met Forge 16 years ago and that they have remained in contact ever since.
She has also said that the two became engaged in September.
Investigation Underway as Singer Denies Any Relationship
During questioning, Forge said he does not recall meeting the woman while acknowledging that he has interacted with countless fans over the years.
"Previously, I have had meetings with my fans in the form of record signings and the like, but I had to stop doing that because of some weird things that happened in connection with it," he is quoted as saying.
"The reservation is that she may have been to something like that and that I met her there, but I have not had any relationship with her."
The case has now led to an official investigation. Forge has made it clear that he is not seeking compensation but simply wants the situation to end.
"I don't want to make her life worse. I just want her to leave me alone and not hurt anyone else," he added.
The woman has prior charges, including unlawful stalking, sexual assault, and multiple counts of assault involving two other individuals. She has denied all allegations.
