What's your favourite food? Pizza? Burgers? That sort of thing? Well, if you're in Maine, I'd expect lobster to be somewhere on the list. Well, one Maine man definitely thinks so - because he's been accused of robbing two crates of the stuff.
As reported by People, Charles N. Collins has been arrested for allegedly stealing almost $2,000 worth of lobsters. He apparently stole them from Art's Lobster in Tenants Harbor, Maine, on March 24.
According to an affidavit filed by the Maine Marine Patrol and obtained by the outlet, Collins was captured on video. The footage, which was given to the Marine Patrol by the head dockworker, showed a silver van show up to the dock on the night of the alleged theft. Two people were allegedly seen exiting the vehicle, before speedily taking the crates and putting them into the van.
The van allegedly had its license plate obscured by a "conspicuous black sticker". And apparently, Collins may be a serial lobster stealer - the officer watching the footage of the March 24 incident was allegedly sent photos of the same van from another lobster theft in Bremen on March 19. But that time, they apparently forgot to obscure the license plate. The affadavit says that the photo was "a clear image of the license plate, and rear of the vehicle."

The Maine Man Was Apparently Wearing the Same Clothes
The affadavit also shows the man wearing the exact same clothes in both heists. As well as this, Collins' driver's license also "matches video footage from the Bremen and Tenants Harvest thefts." Apparently, both showed "his graying beard and squat stature.
The officers even allegedly found two crates of lobsters in the back of the van. They "precisely [matched] what was stolen", according to the affadavit. While we can't be sure until the whole judicial process has been followed throuhg, things aren't looking the best for Collins.
According to the outlet, Collins appeared at court on Monday, March 30. His bail was set at $2,500 - $500 more than the value of the lobsters he allegedly stole. Maybe he should've bought them himself.
