And the "You Make It Easy" singer believes we'll be seeing more of the duo soon.
Jason Aldean Says Florida Georgia Line Was "One of the Biggest Duos" in Country Music
Aldean thought it was great to see Hubbard and Kelley together again. He talked about the experience on an episode of the podcast Try That In A Small Town.
"It was really cool to see those guys back together. I mean, man, they were such a big duo and, in my opinion, one of the biggest duos we've had in this business," he said. "Love 'em or hate 'em, it is a fact. It was good to see those guys back on stage together playing and, you know, I think in town here we've all been kind of hearing rumblings of stuff."
Aldean adds that he believes there will be a new Florida Georgia Line album soon.
"I would assume there's probably going to be a record at some point, and I feel like they're kind of getting there," he said. "I feel like it's been, you know, a weird few years. They're kind of feeling it out and just sort of getting back together and kind of reconnecting a little bit, but I think they're too good to not do that."
Aldean added, "I think the country music fans would eat that up, and so I'm pulling for those guys to hopefully make a record and get back."
Aldean Believes That Hubbard and Kelley Were Better Together
The singer then talked about what a Florida Georgia Line reunion would do for Hubbard and Kelley's careers.
"You're never going to be as big apart as you were together. It is what it is," he explained. "They were too big of an act as a duo to ever accomplish that same thing on their own, either one of them. So I think it's the smart move for them."
