Rams receiver and NFL star Puka Nucua has checked into rehab after allegations have surfaced. He allegedly bit a woman while drunk on New Year's Eve. As reported by the New York Post, he has been spotted at a luxury treatment center in Malibu.
Levi McCathern, the NFL star's attorney, has confirmed that he is in rehab. The lawyer explained that the move wasn't anything to do with the biting incident itself. But, she did say "the combination of stories y'all have run is certainly a contributing factor."
She added that "he was in there a substantial period of time before any of these allegations broke... and he's scheduled to be in there for a while longer. She also said that Nacua's main goal with being at the treatment center is to "improve his overall behavior" in "every aspect of his life that he can do it."
The outlet obtained photos of Nacua in the treatment center. He looked happy and upbeat. The rehab center itself says it uses special treatments to help patients.
McCathern confirmed that the NFL star is in good spirits, and is doing pretty well. "I have talked to him. He's in great spirits. I think he's doing absolutely fabulous."

The NFL star has been involved in two offseason stints involving alcohol problems so far. The first one was when he was pictured stumbling and dancing in a street after being at a party. Not too bad, right? But the biting allegation isn't as jovial.
On March 24, Madison Atiabi filed a restraining order against the NFL star. She alleged that Nacua had gotten drunk and bitten her during a New Year's Eve night out.
She wrote in the filing that Nacua made her uncomfortable throughout the night. He had allegedly made some pretty bad antisemitic comments. And then, he "attacked" her in a sprinter van while they were on the next leg of their journey on the night out.
She alleged that the NFL star bit her so hard on the shoulder that the skin "broke".
We hope that he is doing well, despite everything.
