We're officially on the road to WrestleMania! WWE's flagship event is set to take place on April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas. Everything the company is doing is structured around building up to the biggest two nights in professional wrestling.

Interestingly, it would appear that a former WWE talent-turned-actor is also on the road to WrestleMania, albeit for a different reason. On Monday, March 30, John Cena, arguably the greatest wrestler of all time, announced he would host the event.
"Ah, retired life in the sun," Cena said in a video he posted to X. "I'm kidding. Check out the backdrop. I'm shooting a movie for Netflix called 'One Attempt Remaining' that you can see when it comes out. I am also on the road, which is ironic, because there's a road to WrestleMania going on. I'm in Hollywood, and that's really close to Vegas. Rumor around this town is WrestleMania needs a host. Well, I'm already on that road, so I will see you at WrestleMania."
Cena's announcement will undoubtedly be exciting for wrestling fans. He retired from in-ring work on December 13, losing to Gunther during his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event. He hasn't been seen on WWE programming since. However, it's clear that is about to change.
John Cena May Be Joined by Jelly Roll at WrestleMania
Cena is unlikely to be the only big name who isn't part of the current active roster to play a role in WrestleMania. In recent weeks, Jelly Roll has been appearing in the company's programming, even winning his first WWE match on Friday, March 27, with a win over Kit Wilson.
According to Dave Meltzer, a long-time WWE insider, it's likely Jelly Roll will have a match at WrestleMania.
"I kind of wonder where they're going with Jelly Roll," Meltzer said. "It just feels to me they're going to build to some gimmick match with Kit Wilson, maybe a tag with The Miz because The Miz has been involved in the storyline. They could do that. I had asked about the story because there was a story about Royce Keys, and I was told that it's not Royce Keys, for whatever that's worth. I wasn't actually told that there is a match [for Jelly Roll], but when you look at it, it certainly seems like they're building it."
With Cena hosting the weekend-long event, and Jelly Roll potentially getting in the ring, there are plenty of reasons for non-WWE fans to tune in. WrestleMania is always a fun event, however, the chance to see Cena back at WrestleMania makes this year a can't-miss.
