One thing you can say about Lainey Wilson - the woman has an ironclad sense of humor. She can heartily laugh at the most embarrassing moments and even chuckle at herself. Maybe you need to be able to do that if you are constantly in the public eye like she is. Wilson shared a wonderfully wacky story about a wild pre-concert encounter when she was on Apple Music with Kelleigh Bannen recently. The incident made both of them roar with hilarity.

Wilson Was Asked for Her Backstage Pass Moments Before Her Concert
The "Somewhere Over Laredo" singer usually manages not to trip over her ego. But there was one notable time when Wilson kind of forgot that rule of humility she lives by. She told Kelleigh Bannen, "This one time that I've like, I had an ego and didn't even mean to have one is we were playing a festival and I think it was like Elizabethtown, Colorado. It was like a rodeo festival type thing."
Wilson went on, "I was about to walk on stage. There was just like a couple hundred people there and I had my guitar strapped on me." At that crucial instant with the music already starting, the singer was halted by an event security person.
"The man standing like right by the stairs for me to walk on stage goes, 'I need to see your pass.' I go, 'I am the pass.' And I was like, 'Who am I?!' Oh my gosh I am not proud of that." Wilson added, "I said, 'I can go get my pass, but it's got my face on it, believe me.' Like, I got to get up there, bro. I gotta get up there."
That person undoubtedly knows now exactly who Lainey Wilson is!
Has Fame Changed How People Perceive Her?
Being so well-known has infiltrated her life, Wilson concedes. "People who you would not expect to treat you any differently, treat you different," They sometimes forget that she is still the same person, although with a huge fan base, wealth, and skyrocketing success.
Wilson quipped, ""People who like, you know Lainey not Lainey Wilson. Like, 'hello, it's me.'" She mentioned, "It['s] more of an adjustment for them than it is me, sometimes."
