A music icon says he's receiving death threats and threats of violence over a private beach dispute. Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell found himself in the middle of a situation over his "private" beach property in Florida.

"It will eventually come out... all the pictures and the documents that we have from social media and the threats, the physical threats, to my family," Brian told Fox News."They've talked about burning our house down, burning it down...They've talked about bringing guns. They said, 'Yeah, guns are allowed in Florida.' They want to spray us with mace - they want to punch my teeth out, you know, it's like, it's crazy."
The music icon, his wife Leighanne, and son filed a civil complaint against a neighbor for trespassing and harassment.

"It's scary to have to be in this small community with a lot of angry people. Honestly, and then making us out to be these monsters that we're not," Leighanne said. "We love this town, but now we don't know where to eat because of who hates us."
According to the music icon, neighbors keep coming on their beach property. As a result, they hired security and put up no trespassing signs. According to local laws, the public can access privately owned beaches up to 20 feet from the ocean.
However, the music icon disagrees.
"I know Brian is referring to the beach as a piece of sand, but the fact of the matter is, that's his backyard. That's his private backyard," Peter Ticktin of Ticktin Law Group tells Fox News. "For people to decide to camp out in his backyard is no different than if they were to camp out in anybody else's backyard."
Meanwhile, the neighbor's attorney also spoke out against Brian and his family.
"The amended complaint filed by the Plaintiffs is once again legally deficient, and subject to dismissal by the Court," Hill's attorney Heidi Mehaffey claims in a statement shared with PEOPLE. "The Plaintiffs have not provided sufficient factual allegations that would allow the Court to award them the damages and relief they seek."
