"The alleged victim, Ronnie Taylor, tells TMZ," the report notes. "... this all started Saturday when Alan was riding his green Kawasaki bike through the quiet, well-to-do Nashville suburb. Ronnie claims Alan was flying at excessive speed, revving his engine and disturbing the peace."
That incident is believed to have laid the groundwork for the physical altercation on Sunday. Ritchson is reported to have ridden his bike back through the neighborhood, as he is alleged to have been speeding. As such, Taylor then confronted him.
After Taylor asked Ritchson to stop speeding through the street, a disagreement unfolded, leading Ritchson to allegedly hit him "at least four times," including some blows while Taylor was on the ground.
"Taylor says he went to the cops and reported that Alan punched him in the face and kicked him, Taylor claims Alan then fell off his bike, got back up, and tried to run him off," TMZ reports. "...Taylor accuses Alan of hitting him 'at least four times' while he was on the ground, which has allegedly left him with bruises and swelling."
An Investigation Into the Assault Claim Involving Alan Ritchson Is Underway
According to police officials who spoke with TMZ, an investigation is now underway. No further details of the situation have been made public. Currently, no arrests have been made regarding the alleged assault.
The claims regarding Ritchson come at a bad time for the entertainment industry. There is already a sizeable controversy surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. She is also accused of assault. Interestingly, she was also caught on camera, with TMZ breaking the footage.
Nevertheless, Ritchson will likely remain out of the public eye while the investigation continues. After all, it's best to let the authorities complete their work before risking the media and whatever else lies in wait for the budding star.
