Jason Momoa may be Aquaman on the big screen, but in real life, he's just like the rest of us. Unfortunately for him, Mother Nature decided to test the theory out. Momoa was caught up in a massive storm that struck the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

The world-renowned actor posted a video of the terrifying scenes to his Instagram page. He included a message for his fans and anyone else impacted by the storm in the caption.
"Aloha everyone, these past weeks have been heavy," Momoa wrote in the caption. "The storms, the flooding, the constant rain across O?ahu have affected so many of our people, especially those already facing hardship. Seeing families displaced, communities struggling, and our unhoused neighbors hit the hardest."
Further in his message, Momoa explained how he and his family have been trying to help with community-based efforts in the wake of the devastation the storm has left behind.
"We spent time on the west side, just trying to show love, bring some food, and remind our community that we see you, we stand with you, and you're not alone. That's what aloha is. It's showing up for each other when it matters most."
Jason Momoa Is One of Thousands To Be Impacted by the Storm
The storm that is currently battering Oahu has displaced thousands, with many forced to evacuate.
"We're safe now, but there are a lot of people who weren't, so sending all our love," Momoa said in a different Instagram post.
Oahu has seen landslides, fallen trees, rising tides, and now, the dam is being threatened by persistent heavy rain, as the storm shows little signs of letting up.
There is some good news, though. According to Josh Green, who is the governor of Hawaii, the storm hasn't claimed a single life. Hopefully, that fact remains true as the storm runs its course and the true devastation becomes known.
For now, though, it would appear that it's all hands on deck in Hawaii. Communities from all over will need to band together. They're looking at some difficult months ahead, as they begin to rebuild.
