Tom Brady Is Feuding with WWE Stars, And We're Loving It

Tom Brady taken another shot at the WWE, this time over the fact that the action is scripted and therefore not as dangerous as footbal

Tom Brady and the WWE appear to be at each other's throats. The legendary NFL quarterback recently joked that he would leave the roster 'crying' if they tried to sack him. His controversial comments occurred during a recent interview with Sports Illustrated.

"All their stuff is so cute and scripted, and they know what's going on," Brady said. "In football, you don't know. So, they wouldn't get near me. Plus, if I had a good offensive line, they would punch those guys right in the throat, and they'd be probably be crying. There's no fake BS we do in American Football. For those guys, it would be a whole different story for them."

The problem with Brady's comments is that he's ignoring the level of athleticism and toughness that goes into being a professional wrestler. Sure, the outcome is scripted and part of a larger storyline. Yet, the injuries, bumps, bruises and risks are all incredibly real.

Of course, the WWE locker room was going to take Brady's comments lying down. 14-time Women's World Champion Charlotte Flair quickly responded on X. "If I had five guys to protect me, I might be ok," she wrote.

Recently acquired superstar Danhausen also had something to say: "It would only take one
@WWE superstar to CURSE Tim Bordy,"

This Isn't the First Time Tom Brady Has Upset the WWE Universe

During a Feb. 11 appearance on Logan Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast, Brady referred to the WWE as 'cute,' which, of course, infuriated WWE fans, and wrestling fans in general, worldwide.

"It's cute," Brady said. "I love WWE, it's very cute. But, honestly, this is real football, this is real competition."

The discussion was surrounding Jake Paul's inclusion in a flag football game due to take place in Saudi Arabia. Brady then continued to taunt Jake, claiming that he was glad he'd be taking part in a competition "that matters."

In fairness, there have been rumblings that Brady could be involved in this year's WrestleMania. As such, his comments could be setting the stage for him to make an appearance, and given the way his comments have been received, if he does show, he will certainly be in the role of a "heel."
