TMZ reports that the film and television star has been hospitalized in Kauai, Hawaii, due to a "medical emergency." The martial artist was on the island to train.

What Happened to Chuck Norris?

The medical emergency that led to the 86-year-old's hospitalization is unknown. However, sources have informed TMZ that Norris is in good spirits.

This news comes several days after Norris' birthday on March 10. He marked the occasion by posting a video on Instagram.

"I'm 86 today," he wrote in the caption. "Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young."

Norris added, "I'm grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love. Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you'll ever know."

Chuck Norris Comes From Tough Stock

The Norris family is certainly tough. In Dec. 2024, the mother of the Walker, Texas Ranger star, Wilma Norris Knight, died at the age of 103.

"Our mom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God's grace," Norris wrote in a tribute on Instagram. "Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish."

He added, "She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own. From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion. I am so thankful for the countless lessons she shared, the prayers she lifted for us, and the way she embodied the love of Christ every day."

Norris got his start through fellow martial artist Bruce Lee. After appearing in Way of the Dragon with the legend, Norris went on to become an icon himself. He starred in several hit action movies, including Good Guys Wear Black, Missing in Action, Code of Silence, The Delta Force, Lone Wolf McQuade, and The Expendables 2.
